GAME MAPS AND SOLUTIONS

Challenging as it is to battle your way through CLASSIC ADVENTURE, blast your way through PLAN B or curse your way through JET SET WILLY, you will not be surprised to learn that the Acorn Electron gamers of yesteryear did not exactly sit on their laurels and refuse to help anyone who became stuck. Quite the opposite in fact. Electron User, for example, had an Adventures column every week which attempted to help anyone who was beyond despair with the latest Robico or Topologika puzzle. It also had an Arcade Corner which 'mapped' some of the more perplexing arcade adventures and maze games - and the odd cheat mode that had been discovered. EUG ran a series of Elk Entertainment articles which contained cheat modes - and many solutions to adventures appeared within its electronic pages. The Impact Games Club too published a selection of hint-sheets and solutions that probably proved invaluable to many. And, of course, some games, particularly Larsoft's and Epic Software's, came with detailed hints on how to proceed. Until now, these Electron solutions, hints, tips and maps have been scattered around cyberspace, some on Stairway to Hell, some here, some on the 8BS site and others on hobbyist sites. However, in this archive, we hope to build a complete collection.
