The Acorn User discs in this section of the web site have been put together from the companion Acorn User tapes. The original tapes contained the companion BBC programs on Side 1 and the companion Electron programs on Side 2. The Electron side was usually very different to the BBC side.

We suspect more than a few people will find this page of the web site looking for the BBC companion discs. Now, although almost all of the programs featured on these Acorn User discs will work on the BBC, the 'official' Acorn User discs for the BBC will contain different 'versions' of the games. Acorn User also had many type-ins that did not work at all on the Electron. These type-ins, for the BBC alone, are not included on the discs in this section.

As far as we know, discs compiled from the BBC side of the original Acorn User tapes are not as yet available anywhere else in cyberspace. We have, however, had a fair few of them donated to us over the years and so, at the very bottom of this catalogue, you will find an additional section with links to some of the BBC Acorn User discs.
