Pyramids

Read Right Away 2

Remember when you were first learning to read?

How you used to say the letters and build up simple words: c-a-t, s-a-t, m-a-t?

The "Read Right Away" series is based on this traditional principle, helping your child to read in a systematic way, using what is called the "phonic" approach.

Each of the four Reading Packs in the series contains two separate programs, which have been specifically designed by psychologists and teachers to help your child progress naturally, at their own pace, to mastery of a wide range of reading skills.

The outstanding graphics and entertainment quality of these games will make your child eager to learn and progress through the series.

Pyramids

This game takes place in Ancient Egypt, and the aim is to finish building a pyramid with the aid of some camels and a team of hefty helpers!

The pyramid contains four words whch have their first two letters missing.

Using your hefty helpers, you have to choose a pair of letters to fit each word.

But don't take too long choosing, or make too many mistakes, or you will start to lose your helpers!

If you complete all four words before you run out of helpers, then they will perform an Ancient Egyptian dance for you!

At the beginning of the game you can choose:

  1. Easy words or Hard words
  2. The Skill Level (1-5)

As the level gets higher, you are allowed less time and less mistakes.

Playing Pyramids

  1. Press ESCAPE to end the game.
  2. Move your helpers with the four cursor keys.
  3. Press RETURN when you have moved your helpers either side of the pair of letters that would fit the flashing word.
