Introduction If you and your children are already fans of Yorkshire Television's "The Giddy Game Show", then you'll need no introduction to the characters that appear in it. If you haven't discovered it, here they are: - Giddy is a lovable little space visitor who rides on a magic wand - Gus is a very clever profesor who teaches Giddy about our world - Gorilla is a large and greedy fellow who helps with the teaching - Princess Galaxzena is a fellow space traveller with a taste for adventure! The four games in this computer program are designed to help your children learn to recognise letters of the alphabet and associate them with simple, everyday objects. Giddy's written a little storybook to help you talk your children through the games too. Have fun! The games can be played in any order but it is recommended that Game 1 is always used first. Game 1 - The Alphabet Game Press the SPACE BAR when the group of letters you want to select is highlighted. At the end of each sequence, you will be asked whether you want to play again or go to Game 2. Press the SPACE BAR when the option you require is highlighted. Game 2 - The Jigsaw Game Fitting parts of a letter back into an outline of that letter. Use any key to move Giddy's wand through the boxes containing the letter parts, and press SPACE BAR to select. Game 3 - Hungry Gorilla This game has two levels. Level of play and letter groups are selected in the same way as for Game 1. In Level 1, Giddy moves automatically around the various objects on screen. Press SPACE BAR to confirm a choice. In Level 2, Giddy is moved around the screen using the left, right, up and down arrow keys. Again, press SPACE BAR to confirm a choice. Game 4 - Princess Galaxzena and the Maze Groups of 'forbidden' letters are selected. Press the SPACE BAR when the group required is on the screen. Up, down, left and right arrow keys are used to move the princess around the maze. Giddy's Storybook   The Giddy Game Show and its characters are (C) Yorkshire Television Ltd 1985.
