Audiogenic have also released Breakthrough this month, after quite a few delays. It is a good arcade/adventure which is similar to the very successful Commodore game Soloman's Key.

It consists of 100 individual screens which are all individual puzzles in themselves. Each has a time limit of 99 units - although on some screens an "hour glass" may be collected and this gives you valuable extra time.

In order to complete each screen you have to destroy some building blocks and you also have to create your own. The aim is to reach the exit door on each screen and, as you would expect, this becomes progressively more difficult as you reach the later ones.

The game is "set in a world of fire and mystery" and there are many "nasties" intent on your destruction. Monsters, vampire bats, spiders and ghosts all wish to make your life a misery.

The graphics are small but suit this type of game. Many of the puzzles are devious and it's very pleasing when you've solved them.

I'm a bit reluctant to go overboard about this game but it's very addictive, and although simple in concept, it's quite different and very enjoyable. I'd certainly recommend it.
