This is a simple program for anyone interested in teaching English to speakers of other languages using the Phonetic Method. It is not to be used with the students themselves but more by the teacher who has never learned the phonetic symbols and the sounds they represent.

The phonemes used are the common Southern English phonemes, which are the sounds students are expected to aim for (despite the variation in sounds that exist from county to county). The teacher should be familiar with all of them and use the short introduction to learn the information before the test that follows.
