After what I mentioned in my last article about sending in game cheats as a print out, R. Palmer has provided a GHOULS cheat and an ALPHATRON cheat in that format. For your convenience I have typed them in and included them on this EUG disk.
EXILIR PART 7, Superior/Acornsoft
Now go down to the bottom of this screen and then go right. Go right again until you have passed the lipstick missiles. Go left again until you reach the room where there is the string that you have been up many a time. Go up this piece of string. When you are on the next screen, make your way up to the top and go up this string. Keep on going up until you reach the screen which contains the spirit bottle. Make your way to the top of this screen. And then go left. Get the pill out of this room and then go up the beanstalk.
Collect anything that you need out of this room and then go right. Block the leaky jar and also get anything you may need from this room. You will now be able to go into the next room. Collect anything you need from this room and you will also see a jar. This contains the soap and you have to wash the oil off your feet. If you don't, then you won't be able to complete the game. Be careful.
Now go left past the leaky jar and the flash bulbs. Stop when you reach the room with the beanstalk in it. Now go left once more and get the pill. Jump off the platform and you will land onto a slippery slope (and I mean slippery!). Now climb up the thread in this room and go to the elixir bottle.
Well done! You've completed ELIXIR and restored Cyril to his normal height!
PIPELINE LEVEL DESIGNER PART 4, Superior/Acornsoft
Level Options
The following options which determine game play on a level, can be selected from the OPTIONS menu:
| Start | Initial position of the player |
| Finish | Positions of the 'Finish block' |
| Object | Positions and details up to eight objects |
| M. Monster | Positions and details of up to four moving monsters |
| Puzzle | Details of up to thirty-two puzzles |
| Collects | Numbers of collectable required |
| Graphics | Colours and graphics of the level |
| Time | Time to complete the level |
| Clear | Deletes all level details |
| '<<OK>>' | Leave the menu |
Start And Finish
On selecting 'Start' or 'Finish', you are presented with a three option menu: 'Define', 'Display' or '<<OK>>'. If you select 'Display', a cursor is moved to the point's location on the map. If you select 'Define', a 'Start Location' box will appear. When a 'Select Location' box is on the screen, you should move the cursor to the location you want to specify (in this case, the start or finish points on the level) and press RETURN. You can cancel the 'Select Location' box by pressing SPACE.
Object
There are eight objects allowed to be used on each level, numbered 1 to 8. After selecting this option, enter the number of the object you wish to define. You will now be presented with an eight option menu. 'Position' defines the initial position of the object. 'Exist?' determines whether or not the object is used in the level. 'Sprite no.' selects an object sprite by the number (from 1 to 15) given on the graphics designer. Sprite 16, the 'Finish Block' cannot be used as an object. 'Charge' determines the number of times, between 0 and 113, that you can use an object. If an object has no charges, it won't work but might be recharged by a puzzle (See 'Puzzle'). 'Charges', if unticked, permits an object to be used without a limit on the number of times, subject to puzzle conditions. 'Vanish' determines whether or not a puzzle will vanish when its last charge is used. If an object has no charges to begin with, it won't vanish until it has been charged and used. 'Throw' determines whether an object will or will not be automatically 'used' when it lands after being thrown. More next time.
