Electron PD Update

Fame Thrust Upon Me

Since my unexpected entry in The Micro User under the new PD column, I have received a large amount of requests for the catalogue, and following this Mr J. Ayre requested some software and supplied the first of hopefully many programs he has produced himself. This program is suitably named 3D Editor, and it enables you to produce some wonderful 3D drawings with ease, and you can save or load them as well. Other features include different colours, on-screen centred text and many different shapes to choose from.

I have not used this program fully yet but, from what I have seen, it would be worthy of a £2.99 budget label at least commercially. Thank you again Mr Ayre, and I hope that other users will come up with submissions to the catalogue: any piece of software will be accepted so don't feel that a program laying around on one of your disks would not be good enough, it may be just the job to another user! So get the recognition you deserve and submit a program now.

Please note that 3D Editor is not available to tape users due to its picture saving and loading system, and the constant swapping between files that it performs.

New Additions

The catalogue has also been updated in the form of 100 new miscellaneous files, mostly ex-Electron User programs which I have finally managed to collate and put in the catalogue. All disk requests have a new version of the catalogue copied onto disk, with a !RUN file which scrolls through the catalogue. Tape users will receive a printout of the catalogue with their requests for software.

Sorry It's Late!

I must apologise to any Electron users who have suffered delays in receiving software back from me (Sometimes spanning a number of weeks!) but with field trips, holidays and generally a large workload, sometimes letters have been put at the bottom of an Empire State Building height pile of work to be done. Should anyone suffer a long delay in the future then don't worry, it will arrive in time!

Talking of delays, should the next issue of EUG be out before the middle of July, I will be away from July 15th till the beginning of September, working away from home to get some cash together, and so any mail received during this time will obviously not be processed. So if you are waiting for a reply during this time, it may be a while I'm afraid.

Longer Term...

On the subject of being away, while wading through all the University prospectuses I have, it occured to me that in a year's time, I will be going away and therefore unable to run the library. (Or maybe I could, depending on where I go to!)
