"We are the police," say the police!

The next instalment of "The A to Z of Electron Software" will not appear in this issue.

"Who cares?!" shout the long-term Electron owners! It's been pointed out that a list of titles isn't much use to anyone and I agree! The A to Z is being revised to include the names of the publishers and the type of program. i.e. Arcade, Text Adventure, Educational, etc, etc. We hope this will give people some idea of what is, or was once, available for the Electron.

Long-term Electron owners almost certainly know about mail order companies like Software Bargains and Mercury Games. The pair of them appear to have amalgamated (See Ad in this issue) but are there any shops still stocking Electron gear? The one independent software retailer here in Basildon recently cleared its shelves of not just the BBC/Electron titles but what looked like all the 8 Bit format stuff. There was a fair old crowd 'round the 'Bargain Bin', I can tell you!

Anyway, it now looks to be a strictly 16 Bit/console supplier. What are things like in your area? Are there still pockets of Elk-support dotted around the country? If so, drop us a line with the shop's name and address and we'll print a list in the future.
